How things are all related - so wake up!

This is how things really work around here these days. Sorry if you do not understand what I am trying to saying (you can actually google all the terms if you bother) - all I can say is wake up and open your eyes, read more and start to care, because things work in cycles.

Malay fishing village with Foreign Colonial rule -> Deep port with hardworking coolies and samsui immigrants -> Import/Export/Trading activities -> Success attributed Men in White + Refinery/Manufacturing with cheap well disciplined educated workforce (whom are not attributed) -> Higher GDP/Affordable Housing Paper chase/Money chase aka greed + apathy and apolitical mindset ->strive for excellence/school ranking and streaming aka socially acceptable gap and breeding Elitism -> Comfortable lifestyle/Overwhelming Single Party election results/defamation lawsuits = Million dollar civil servants, Ivory tower perceptions with ~50 year ruling with term "democracy" redefined =  ERP/COE or  3%->5%->7%->??% or $7500->$40k -> $200k -> $575k -> ??? or Means testing + send parents to JB -> no social safety/welfare net = coolies and samsui grandpas and grannies back to working -> Strangers in my strange land/Foreign PRs buying HDBs and renting out to Singaporeans -> Rich souless state with cheap hardworking immigrants -> ?? (Fill in your own thoughts)

Growth -> Prosperity (Not necessarily true) -> Elite vs Lesser Mortals (The world of difference)

Elite = comfortable life aka no balloting for primary schools, renting condos/houses out to foreign talents, scholarships or F-M scholarships, overseas studies, better work opportunities = future guaranteed, 50k French cooking lessons or can afford to stay overseas without being labelled quitters = Elite Spawns who have lost touch with the ground = Brats like Wee Shumin.
Lesser Mortals = Fighting for places in Primary schools till University spots, fighting with PRs for HDBs, fighting with foreigners for jobs = 30 year housing loans, 10 year car loans, student loans, job insecurity  = lowered productivity, stress, less babies, screwed life = apathy and apolitical mindset = screwed kids whom are stuck in the same cycle over and over again

Well seriously things aren't as bad as they seem, everyone has a choice. Don't blame the opposition or the lack of credible alternatives for maintaining hegemony. Everyone need to do their part and be aware and know what's your right as a citizen, as a human being. Sometimes the inevitable cycle happens where the internet might be a part of. The world is changing every day and it is happening from USA to Japan - Stand for Change.

For me, I just want back the old National Library, it holds many memories for me - not that hole in the hill which saved me 1 minute of travelling time. That alone made me change my apathy views and not because of expensive "public" housing or competition with foreigners.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.
