As I mentioned earlier there was going to be Celebrity match against the Media during the half time show in the Slingers game against Thailand Tigers. The Celeb team has Allan Wu, Benjamin Heng, Irene Ang and Adele Wong; while the Media team consists of journalists from 91.3FM and ESPNSports.
It was not a half court 3-on-3 game but an actual 5-on-5 full court game. I never thought they could pull it off, but kudos to the celebrities because they were at it like they actually wanted to win it! They ran for the ball, falling in the process etc.. It was just hilarious to see them play. Secretly rooting for Media team because I think Allan is the only decent basketball player... anyway pictures from the game. However, the Media team managed to break away for a fast break layup to score the single point of the matchup.
Lastly, is another reason to cheer following the great comeback win against the Tigers. Our very own local Centre/Forward Pathman Matialakan proposed to his girlfriend Li Ling after the match, and the fans and teammates were sharing their joy. Congrats Pathman!
