Tiger Tavern

Was invited by Daphne to the Tiger Tavern before they close for renovation this October '10. Together with Jase, we took the opportunity to understand about beer brewing and taste some of their fine drafts.

Check out the old school pass, and I love the old tavern feel of the place with the appreciation plaques from various army camps' hanging on the ceiling beams.

Tiger spokesman showing us how beer is brewed, for me the only important point that came through was - beer won't give you a beer belly, it's the accompanying food and snacks! That's so true!

I think a fine ice cold Tiger draft is best drank after a hard day's work.Well, actually so is an Erdinger! hehe and also a Guinness stout...the guys at the Tavern really pour it like the guys at St James in Dublin (was there in 2007).

Check out what the Tavern stocks! Seriously, I think if you have friends and visitors from overseas, do try to bring them down for a brewery tour...the nominal fee is ridiculous. For more info : click here, as I leave you with just some pictures of the place (as we were limited to only photographing some areas - apparently trade secrets are hovering around the area! ;-). Btw the tour is about just under 45mins.

Though the place is far out in Tuas, for S$10, this is one of the best deal I've heard all year. So below info is really just for my own FYI and bookmark when I need a beer during a tough work week. Anyone care to be my pretend-visitor?
