Trying days

Manage expectations. Life is never going to be a bed of roses...every single day. Every step of the way is a journey...expect ups and downs, expect setbacks... promotions, backstabs, spirit lifts, resignations, betrayals, surprises, sickness, deaths, marriage, births...expect the unexpected.

Sometimes, little reminders of how fragile life is or how crazy the work place has been with disappointing staff, or how bosses are using us as pawns - the situation they put you in does help you to think in bigger perspective that it is better now than later; how we should take stock and see what's important in life.

So often we get caught up in work, we lost track of what's more important than...perhaps that report you are typing at the moment; than that birthday you had to miss. We have to prioritize and know eventually, we all will go someday - Carpe Diem and do your best mentally and wholeheartedly.

So in my most trying days, I think about how life is treating me now. I think about my loved ones, friends and look back in life and start my climb back up. Work on life, work on the little details like earning respect, be more passionate, exercising, remembering to write a note or spending some time with our love ones and remind myself to forget about the dollars and cents and smell the roses - Money isn't everything, we all can't take it away with us when we lie stricken sick in bed.

3 reminders to get me through life.

1. Seize the day (Carpe Diem)
2. No regrets
3. What doesn't kill you only makes your stronger

I hope these reminders work for you too, now get your butt off the floor and move on.
